Built for small teams first.
We are not building the next enterprise platform. We are building the tool we wanted when we were a team of six trying to ship without drowning in process.
Early Stage
Free to start. Simple to understand.
Paperwork is in early access. We are onboarding small teams — the kind of teams where everyone knows each other's name and nobody needs a dashboard to know what is happening.
During early access, Paperwork is free. No credit card. No trial countdown. No feature gates designed to frustrate you into upgrading. You get the full product because we need real teams using it and telling us what works.
The sweet spot is 3 to 20 people. Small enough to trust each other. Big enough to lose track without a shared feed.
What You Get
Everything. No tiers. No upgrade walls.
01
Shared Team Feed
One chronological stream of what your team is working on, shipping, and thinking about. The single source of truth that replaces your morning standup.
02
Personal Plates
Your own focused list of commitments. Deliberately small. Nobody assigns you work — you pull what matters onto your plate and own it.
03
Morning Triage
A daily two-minute ritual where you confront your plate and decide what stays, what ships, and what gets dropped. The standup replacement that actually works.
04
Automatic Expiration
Stale work decays by default. No backlog grooming. No quarterly cleanup rituals. If nobody cares enough to keep it alive, the system lets it go.
What It Replaces
The tools you are already paying too much for.
Daily standups
Replaced by the shared feed and morning triage.
Backlog grooming
Replaced by automatic expiration. No backlog, no rot.
Status update meetings
Replaced by visible work in the feed. Read it when you need it.
Heavyweight project management
Replaced by a team feed that takes two minutes a day, not two hours.
Questions
Frequently asked.
Will Paperwork always be free?
No. We will introduce paid plans once we have found the right model. But we will not surprise you. Early access teams will get plenty of notice, and we will always have a free tier for small teams getting started. We are not building a bait-and-switch.
Is this just for developers?
It was designed by a developer for the kind of teams developers work on. But the mechanics — shared feed, personal plates, morning triage — work for any small team that ships things. Design teams, content teams, ops teams. If your work involves making things and coordinating with a handful of people, Paperwork fits.
What about integrations?
We are intentionally cautious about integrations. Every integration is a dependency, a maintenance burden, and a way for complexity to leak back in. We will add them where they clearly reduce friction — not to check boxes on a comparison chart.
How is this different from Jira or Linear?
Those tools are built around tickets, boards, and sprints. Paperwork is built around a feed, plates, and triage. The philosophical difference is bigger than the feature difference: we believe work should flow, not be managed. Read the manifesto or explore the method for the full argument.
